Earth Day 2024
Since 1970, every year on April 22nd we celebrate Earth Day.
It’s a day dedicated to the health and wellbeing of our planet, and in turn, us!
This is a topic which is at the forefront of interest right now, for reasons we’re sure you can guess. Climate change affects everything and everyone, and it’s important that we make continual progress towards the sustainability targets many organisations have set in its wake.
Companies keen to demonstrate their commitments have signed up for pledges including the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), which includes setting reduction targets in line with the goals set out in The Paris Agreement.
ARCUS® Supplier Management Software now integrates with SBTi, allowing organisations to see whether a supplier has made such a commitment – pulling the data if they have it directly into ARCUS®.
In the spirit of Earth Day, ARCUS® Supplier Information Management (SIM) allows users to efficiently on-board Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) information from suppliers. This includes information surrounding carbon activity and targets, which significantly increases transparency. Through configurable questionnaires, users can collect the supplier data that matters the most to them.
As well as this, supplier certifications are automatically authenticated when supplier supporting documentation is scanned and verified at the point of upload through Artificial Intelligence. This eliminates the need to complete time-consuming, manual checks. Additionally, users have full confidence that due diligence has been undertaken in alliance with existing business processes.
